January 19 | Now

Here is where we are now. Fever struck our house yesterday with a bang and there has been a lot of sleeping in the big bed ever since. For the first time I am trying to just ride out the fever with little medicine. We are trying to fill our bodies with nourishing foods, but it is slow going for the sick one who has very little appetite.

And here I am, done with two college courses and ready to dive into the world of homeschooling. I am eighty percent sure the boys won't be in public school next year so I had better start preparing. I am excited and nervous. I'll be sure to keep you all posted.

  1. Wow, Annie! I'm anxious to hear about your planning, etc. I didn't know you were headed that way. As the child of generations of public school teachers I think I would be written out of the will, much less life if I did that!:) But I'm always inspired by the process and all the varied learning.
    Get well soon, little guy.

  2. Oh please do! I finished the John Holt book a couple of months ago and started The Skylark Sings With Me. I am so scared. So scared and so excited! I am really excited too to start this journey with you, my far away computer friend!

  4. O-My-Gosh! I'm so happy that you'll be homeschooling! It's so much fun and hard at the same time. I hope you're all feeling better. It's so hard to not go the hard drugs when the fever hits. But if it's not something too serious, a fever is so good to ride out.

  5. God bless you! I can't imagine having the strength and patience of parents who home school. I hope that it works out great for all of you.
