I Love...Washington DC
I really do love that we live a stone's throw from Washington DC. It took us a while to get out the door this morning, but in about 30 minutes we were in DC walking across the National Mall on our way to the National Gallery of Art. In art class, the boys have learned about various artists. Last week they studied Andy Warhol, and while we didn't see his work up close, we saw an artist outside the museum who replicated Warhol's style. I love being able to share these treasure's with the boys, along with my love of the city.

You are quite lucky to live in such a great town. Can't wait to get back there with the monsters.
ReplyDeleteThe editing on this is amazing! I have a handful (some days more than that) of big regrets in my life. One is that we didn't take more advantage of D.C. when we lived in the area. Maybe we'll just have to come visit some time! I love that your boys are taking an art class like that!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more, I Love DC too!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never been there. Someday...
ReplyDeleteYou are one blessed cookie! I wish we could be there - especially in 30 minutes!
ReplyDeleteOh, reading this made my heart ache. I adore DC--it is my favorite city. I did an internship at the Canadian Embassy for a semester (way back in the day) which is right across from the National Gallery of Art. I would walk over there on my lunch break all the time and just stroll through an exhibit or eat outside in the sculpture garden. I miss it SO MUCH!
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome that you can expose your kids to so much culture right in your back yard!
